Winchester Model 70 243 Winchester Rifles:

In 1955 Winchester introduced the 243 Winchester rifle cartridge, chambered in their Model 70 Featherweight Bolt-Action rifle. Today, Winchesters Model 70 rifles chambered in 243 Winchester are made at one of the most advanced firearms facilities in the world. The new Winchester Repeating Arms wing of FN manufacturing in Columbia, South Carolina. They are building perhaps the best Winchester Model 70 rifles ever before in Winchester history. Offering a one inch M.O.A. accuracy standard with the also new innovative M.O.A. trigger system that comes standard with each new Winchester Model 70 rifle.

Like the original Pre-64 model 70 rifle actions, the receivers are forged from a solid piece of steel, then using state of the art CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines they are cut to correct dimensions for internal fits of the chamber, bolt, safety components, etc.
