300 Winchester Magnum Rifles And Accuracy:

 Winchester introduced their new 300 Winchester Magnum cartridge to the public in 1963 chambered in their Model 70 bolt action rifle that featured a 1 in 10" rifling twist. Since that time Remington chambers the 300 Winchester Magnum in their Model 700 rifle and Ruger also chambers it in their Model 77 rifle as well, all, very popular rifles.

 The 300 Winchester Magnum since its introduction has become quite popular with many long range rifle shooters that have used it to win many 1,000 yard matches in competition shooting, hunters quickly find that it has enough power for all North America hunting. Using 180 grain bullets to drop moose size animals at 500 yards. Loaded with 150 grain bullets it has enough power at 700 yards for whitetail deer with bullet energy to spare at these ranges.
